Lemonade Kool-Aid

Original purpose: Quenching your thirst.

Aha! use: Cleaning lime deposits and iron stains inside the dishwasher. Pour a packet of lemonade Kool-Aid (the only flavor that works) into the detergent cup and run the (empty) dishwasher.

Reward: Citric acid in the mix wipes out stains; you don't have to.

Rubber Bands as Strap Securers

Original purpose: Bundling mail in the postman's bag.
Aha! use: Keeping camisoles and sundresses from slipping off their hangers. For this stop-strap measure, wrap a band (or two if you use skinny ones) around each end of a hanger.
Reward: Garments that stay put instead of sliding to the floor.

Get Organized Using Everyday Items

Tall Vase as Toilet Paper Container

Original purpose: Showing off all those long-stemmed roses from gentleman callers.
Aha! use: Helping toilet paper hide in plain sight.
Reward: Guests don't have to root around for a new roll in your not absolutely, positively tidy vanity, and you always know when you're running low

Jon Bon Jovi & Family!

The first pic I have ever seen of his wife and kids!

Rock, Paper, Trimmer!

By Fiskars! Love it ~ Not only is it pretty and pink, it also plays music. Yes, you heard that right. Just plug in any MP3 player or iPod and rest it on the dock at the top of the trimmer, and you can rock out to your favorite tunes through the two speakers on the left.
